I Want My Smoothies

The dentist peered inside Ben's mouth, poking the teeth with the dental mirror and scaler. He took a step back and sighed. "Ben you are not going to like the news, you have 5 cavities."

"WHAT! Why?" Ben shouted. "I brush my teeth everyday."

"Do you consume anything that is high in sugar?" The dentist asked.

"But I eat all the healthy food in the food pyramid! I eat carbs,fruits, vegtables, dairy,protein, and Mr. Smoothy's smoothies."

"Mr. Smoothy's smoothies?" The dentist said. "Don't you know that you're drowing a ton of sugar whenever you drink one? I'm putting you on a sugar free diet. That means no smoothies."

"No! You can't do this to me!" Ben shouted.

Later that night, Ben's parents caught him trying to sneak out of the house as JetRay.

"But I want a smoothie!" Ben complained.

"You heard the dentist, you can't have smoothies! Now get back inside!"

Two days later, Gwen was walking down the street when she saw Kevin.
"So what's up?" He asked.

"I'm going over to Ben's house," she said. "He called me this morning, he sounded upset."

"He's upset?" Kevin laughed. "He's actually upset? Man, I gotta take pics!"

"Kevin!" Gwen exclaimed.

"Just kidding Gwen."

Kevin and Gwen stood in front of Ben's room. Gwen knocked.

"Ben it's us, what's wrong?" She opened the door; loud breakup music was playing in the background.

"Breakup music. You serious?" Kevin stated.

Ben was huddled in a corner, rocking back and forth, wearing blue footise pajamas covered with penguins. Tears were streaming down his face. Before Kevin could make a snarky comment Ben sobbed:

"Mmmmy smooothies are gggone!The dentist said I couldn't have them! I need one! I can't live without them!" He collasped to the floor, crying hysterically, his fists pounding the floor.

"Ben, I'm sorry, but you have to follow what the dentist says," Gwen said. "There's nothing we can do."

"Gwen's right, and besides I don't have any money," Kevin said.

"No! Please you have to!" Ben shouted, trying to grab onto Gwen's leg. She shook him off and started to the door, Kevin following her.

"NO! I NEED A SMOOTHIE! I NEED A SMOOTHIE!"

"Oh god, I feel horrible about that," Gwen said when they were outside.

" It's his fault; he drank too much. He was drowing two everyday, he's practically a smootiholic," Kevin responded.

Well maybe we should.." There was a scream, as a crowd of people sped past them.  Kevin and Gwen looked up to see Humongosuar wildly steping on cars and punching houses.

"I WANT MY SMOOTHIE!!!"

"BEN STOP!" Kevin absorbed a car's metal, jumped up, and tried to punch Humongosuar. Humongosuar swatted him and Kevin fell to the ground. Gwen, running on a block of mana hurled disks at Humongosaur, who also swatted her. She crashed into Kevin. They tried to stop Ben again, but landed on top of somebody's car.

"On a second thought, he needs a smoothie. Bad!" Kevin shouted. He and Gwen started to run towards Mr. Smoothy's.

They ran up to the counter and Gwen pushed a 5 dollar bill at the cashier.

"We need a smoothie, fast!"

"What's the rush?" The cashier asked.

A giant footstep was heard; Humongosaur  was pulling up the Mr. Smoothy's sign .  The cashier screamed and handed over the smoothie to Kevin and Gwen and ran.

"Ben we have the smoothie!" The two shouted.

Ben turned back to normal. "SMOOTHIE!" He shouted, grabbing the cup and draining it. "THANK YOU THANK YOU!" He  pulled Kevin and Gwen into a hug, and kissed them both on the cheek. Gwen backed up, but Kevin moved forwards with his fists out.

"Uh, oops.."

The dentist looked at Ben disaprovingly. "You didn't listen to me when I told you not to follow a sugar free diet and now I have to fix your teeth because you were punched in the face. What do you have to say about yourself?"
A bruised Ben gazed at the dentist, "Never kiss Kevin after nearly beating him up."
