A Very Ben 10 Halloween 2

The gang sat around Ben's kitchen table. Ben and Rook had finished their plumber duties for the day and Gwen was home for fall break, and Kevin of course tagged along.

"You guys are the best for bringing cookies!" Ben exclaimed as he crammed a ghost shaped cookie in his mouth.

"It's nothing," Kevin said. "At least your mom isn't here; she'd freak."

"I find it very interesting that during earth holidays, it is a popular custom to shape baked goods into symbols of that holiday," Rook said as he nibbled at his pumpkin shaped cookie.

"It's mostly during Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine's Day though. Maybe some on Saint Patrick's Day," Gwen took another cookie from the plate in the middle of the table.

"On Revonnah, we are more keen on decorations when it comes to symbols," Rook added. "I see you do that here too."

"Halloween decorations are huge on my block," Gwen said. "One of my neighbors puts up a giant inflatable jack o lantern on their lawn. It lights up too, it's very cool."

"I know! We'd stop at that house during treat or treating when we were kids," Ben remembered. "I always tried to get the most candy since mom had the no candy rule.

"I was always into Mischief Night," Kevin said. "I am a pro when it comes to egging and tping houses."
Rook looked confused.

"Mischief Night is when you prank people the night before Halloween by throwing toilet paper on their yard and eggs at houses," Gwen explaining, rolling her eyes.

"Why would you do that?" Rook asked.

"Because it's fun," Kevin laughed. "Me, Ben, and Argit did it about two years ago. We almost got caught thanks to Ben."

"Give me a break! I was nervous!" Ben snapped back.

"You guys know what you're dressing up as?" Gwen quickly changed the subject.

"I'll keep mine a secret for now. I want to surprise everyone," Rook smiled as he took another cookie from the pile.

It was late afternoon. Ben stood outside of his house, waiting for his friends. Unsurprisingly, it had been a very slow day when it came to his work. Suspicious alien activity was low on the radar. He had celebrated by getting the triple chocolate pumpkin smoothie from Mr. Smoothys and some donuts. He was dressed as Sasuke from Naruto.

A green car pulled up to his house. Kevin and Gwen got out and headed towards him. They were dressed up as a devil and an angel; Gwen in an angel dress with wings and a halo, and Kevin wearing a devil outfit with horns and holding a pitchfork. Ben waved.

"Third year in a row?" Gwen asked.

"I love this costume," Ben laughed. "Julie was supposed to dress up as Sakura but…. you know," his voice drifted off.

"At least you were able to make it last night," Kevin said. "Too bad Rook couldn't come."

"You know him, he doesn't want to break the rules," Ben said. "You guys look good."

"Thanks, it was my idea," Gwen said.

"I wonder what Rook is dressing up as?" Ben said.

"Hello!"

The three teens turned around. Ben and Kevin started to snicker.

Rook was dressed up as a black cat. He was wearing a black plumber bodysuit with a tail and black cat ears. He had pink face paint on his nose with some glued on whiskers.

"Meow! I am a kitty!" Rook purred.

Ben, Kevin, and Gwen started to laugh. Rook grinned.

"So you like my costume?" He asked.

"It's perfect!" Gwen giggled.

"Oh my god," Kevin was nearly on the ground. Gwen helped him up.

"Awesome dude!" Ben said. "You guys wanna take a picture?"

"Absolutely!" Ben took out his phone and they gathered around him. They all posed as if they were their costumes. Kevin was still trying to suppress laughter.

"Halloween!" Ben shouted, making his best Sasuke face. Kevin made a mischievous face, Gwen gave a wide smile, and Rook put on his best cat expression. The camera flashed.

"Nice!" Ben exclaimed as he showed the others the picture. "Wanna go watch a scary movie? We'll go trick or treating later."

"Yeah!" They went inside.
